Many emissions reduction programs unintentionally affect boiler operation and
efficiency. Therefore, utilities continue to seek better methods to improve boiler
performance and overall efficiency. One promising approach is the conversion of

coal-fired power plants to fuel injection-based systems. 

 

This conversion requires specialized instruments to continuously monitor the flow of pulverized coal to each burner, as well as devices capable of controlling or adjusting

the flow in real-time.
